FAQ

When are you open?

Our hours are Monday-Friday 6am-9pm and weekends 8am

6pm.  However, those are just preferred times.  If you need

a service outside of those hours, please email with your

needs and we will do our best to accommodate.  We are

open year round, with the exception of the last week of the

year and 1-2 weeks in the summer (summer closures vary

     each year).

I notice that you mention your daughter a lot.  Is it safe to have her around new animals?

We have a 3 year old daughter who loves animals.  Sara is

primarily a stay at home mom, so our daughter is always

with her.  Sara is very cautious and will never leave any

animal unattended, alone with her daughter.

For dog boarding, is there someone always home?

  • Sara does have a part time job in Albany in the morning.

After taking care of all the animals in the morning, Sara and

her daughter leave for about 4 hours.

  • Erik works evenings/nights, so most days, Erik is home

while Sara is at work, however, he is usually sleeping.  If

necessary, he will sleep where the dog(s) can see him.

  • Depending how long your pet is boarding with us, there

might be a few hours randomly that the animals are

completely alone (grocery shopping, family outings).

What happens when there is no one home?

When Sara and Erik are both unable to be home, all dogs

are separated to ensure everyone's safety.  If your dog is

crate trained then your dog will be put in her/his crate.

Otherwise, we separate dogs with baby gates.

What size dogs do you accept for boarding in your home?

Since we don't have a huge house, we prefer the dogs be

under 30 pounds, but do not exceed 50 pounds.

If you have a dog over 50 pounds who is very calm and

doesn't do much, we will make accommodations.  If your

dog is over 50 pounds and very active, we are happy to

      discuss options.

Where do the dogs sleep?

If the dog is crate trained/prefers to sleep in her/his

crate, that is great.  Otherwise, all boarding dogs

will sleep downstairs where every s/he is most

comfortable.  Sara sleeps downstairs with dogs who

     are not crated.

How many dogs do you watch at one time?

For the safety of everyone and the size of our

house, we will only board up to 3 dogs at any one

time.  They can be from different households or the

     same.

Do you take care of cats?

While we do not have cat boarding at our house,

we are happy to go to your house.  Please see

      Cat Services for more information.

How much do your services cost?

Here are prices listed at the end of each service

description type.  For a personalized quote, please

     email us.

What kind of licenses and insurance do you have?

  • After doing lots of research, we have found out that

we don't need a license because we are small and

do everything out of our home.

  • Pet care service insurance is quite spendy, so we

have opted to not get it.  We will have you sign a

waiver (for more information, email us).

  • If you prefer to have the insurance guarantee, you can sign up for Rover and book me through the website or app.  When booking through Rover, they provide insurance while your pet is in my care.  Please email us if you have any questions.
